Jim has 25 years experience in construction working as a chartered engineer. Early experience included working with an international consultant based in Saudi Arabia and a UK consultant involved in marine engineering consultancy. Jim's experience has been working on both Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering projects. His structural experience includes design and management of complex substructures and building structures for schemes in the industrial, science research, education, healthcare, and residential sectors. He has similarly managed design and construction on civil engineering infrastructure for projects within the industrial, highways, commercial and waste sectors. His key areas of expertise include Structural Engineering Consultancy, Civil Engineering Consultancy and Project Management.
James Curran

James has 26 years experience in the provision of engineering consultancy services primarily in the United Kingdom. In more recent years he has become significantly involved in business development and consultancy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. James studied Civil Engineering at The Queen’s University, Belfast in the United Kingdom where he was awarded a First Class Honours degree. Further study lead to the achievement of a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management. James’ initial professional experience was in the design and supervision of harbours and associated marine structures leading to his recognition as a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers. He proceeded to expand his professional expertise through the design and construction management of both bridges and buildings reflecting all sectors with the built environment including significant Healthcare, Residential, Industrial, Retail, Education and Urban Planning schemes. These lead to his recognition as a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers and as a member of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland. In more recent times James is demonstrating a commitment to business development in construction related professional services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Ken has over 20 years experience as a Chartered Architect working throughout Ireland, Europe and North America on a wide variety of building types including sciences, offices, retail, HE/FE education, production and healthcare. He has extensive experience in the design of complex highly serviced laboratories and specialist production facilities. Ken places equal emphasis on the importance of creating attractive building designs through careful development of the project brief and the delivery of construction excellence through professional project management. He is very experienced in the role of design team leader working in collaboration with other construction consultants to deliver best practice integrated design solutions in response to his Clients requirements.
Roger Perrott

Roger studied Architecture at The University of Nottingham and was awarded a BA(Hons) and a Masters degree in Architecture and Sustainable Design. He gained early professional experience at Allan Joyce Architects in Nottingham, with continued emphasis on environmentally responsible practice and sustainable design, working on innovative and award winning schemes across many sectors. He has also been involved in many professional and voluntary design quality initiatives. Roger has completed a certificate in Project Management at Queens University, Belfast in 2005. He has excellent communication skills and works closely with clients to manage successful delivery of all projects. Roger is also a member of Athletics Northern Ireland's Track and Field Committee and a Business Mentor with The Prince's Trust.

Mark has over 18 years experience in building services engineering. He graduated from the University of Ulster in 1994 and was recognised as a Chartered Engineer in 2003. He is committed to his personal development and has successfully completed an intensive Management Development Programme. Mark is an accomplished design engineer with comprehensive experience in high value and complex new build and refurbishment schemes. As a lead engineer he is responsible for taking a project from conception, through design, site supervision and completion. He has an excellent focus on meeting client needs and consistently manages projects to deliver on programme and within budget. Mark, as a champion of innovative sustainable design, works with the Design Team and Clients to deliver high energy performance buildings which incorporate energy efficient technologies and intelligent building design. His designs have received numerous awards.

Manea studied at King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was awarded a BS Degree in Applied Electrical Engineering in 1993. Manea has 19 years experience as Procurement, Marketing Manager and Design Engineer in the Mining, Metallurgical, Manufacturing, Construction and Consulting Engineering Fields registered as a Professional Engineer with Saudi Council of Engineers. As Senior Marketing Manager – has been responsible for the execution of multi-disciplinary projects and procurement activities covering many fields also development for new market area such as GCC Countries, Eastern Province, Southern Province and Sudan. These include Materials Handling Systems, Crushing and Screening, Drilling Equipment, Metallurgical and Chemical Plants, Heavy Media Separation Plants and Manufacturing Facilities for Industrial Chemicals, Gold, Mineral Sands, Pulp and Paper, Waste Treatment Plants, Pumping Stations.

Hussein studied at University of Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States and was awarded a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1992. Hussein has 20 years experience as a Senior Project Engineer and a Quality Control Manager in several projects under several companies. As Saudi Aramco Senior Project Engineer Hussein had executed several Saudi Aramco Projects all over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The projects included New Buildings, Roads, Bridges, Storage Tanks and Oil and Gas Facilities. In addition, Hussein worked in Procuring Quality Control Personals and worked closely with contractors to provide them with Quality Control Personal (such as Welding, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Inspectors) to cover all inspection and testing areas for several projects under Saudi Aramco, SABIC, MAADEN, and KAYAN.

Bruce Shaw’s office in Saudi Arabia is managed by Niall Greene. Niall joined the practice in 1999 and has worked on numerous public & private sector landmark developments. Niall is an approved “Grade A” approved Quantity Surveyor and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. He has worked on numerous public & private sector landmark developments throughout Europe, North Africa & Middle East. He has a particular expertise in fast track procurement of major projects. He has been responsible for providing strategic advice on a number of Cost Management services including development management, optional engineering, value & risk management, along with advice on forms of contracts and that of contractual disputes.

Steven, Director of Bruce Shaw UAE since 2008, has extensive knowledge of the JCT, FIDIC and the RIAI forms of contract and has tailored, advised and adjusted the standard forms to better meet the specific needs of individual clients. In addition, he has been responsible for the provision of the full range of quantity surveying services including early cost and procurement advice, budget estimates, cost planning, the preparation of tender documentation and ongoing cost control during the course of numerous projects.

Ruba is a member of RSK’s Middle East team, and is leads RSK’s Riyadh office. She leads research, stakeholder liaison, data gathering and reporting for environmental impact assessments, and construction environmental management plans. Ruba has represented clients at presentations to stakeholders and the Environment Agency (EAD). Ruba has in-depth knowledge of the environmental legislations, challenges, regulations, new technologies and remedial options surrounding many of the problems facing the industries. She is experienced in undertaking environmental and socio-economic impact assessment. She is especially experienced in stakeholder management and liaison with the regulators, the various government bodies, the private sector and the public sector. Ruba was involved in the writing of the first sustainability report for one of the largest aluminium smelters in the Middle East. She has managed or contributed to a range of environmental assessments, audits and permitting for clients in oil and gas, construction and renewable industries. Ruba is actively in involved in the business development of our Middle East operations. Ruba has specialist skills in the following areas: - environmental impact assessment; - management of stakeholder engagement; - construction environmental management plan; and, - client liaison and business development.

Andrew joined the Paul Hogarth Company in 1991 and over the years has developed a breadth of professional experience as well as level of responsibility within the Practice, and now as a Director provides leadership within the office and to projects. Andrew combines experience as a Chartered Landscape Architect, Urban Designer and Regeneration Consultant, working for public and private sector clients across the UK, Ireland and Internationally. Work has been recognised as being representative of ‘international best-practice standard’ and has led toAndrew being regularly invited to provide advice to Governments, and academic institution as well as speaking at conferences in relation to waterfront developments, regeneration of challenging sites such as former military/industrial areas, public realm, heritage and tourism.
