Project involved masterplanning of a 25 acre site in Lower Salford Pennsylvania and for the design of the new North American HQ facility for the Almac Group in collaboration with US Architects to complete the detail design in accordance with local codes and legislation
Phase 1 comprises a new 3 storey 72,000sq ft office support building and a new 162,000sq ft Clinical Services production facility for the compilation, distribution and management of pharmaceutical clinical trials. The production area is arranged on two levels with 16 primary cleanrooms and support rooms set on the upper level and secondary production set below. Support operations include labelling QA and inspection, distribution suites and warehousing. Analytical and R+D labs support production activities and provide independent laboratory services to the US market.
The office building provides workspace for the Almac Group in open plan accommodation with support training, meeting rooms and customer facilities. The space planning of the offices has been carefully considered to maximise natural lighting and to create a contemporary flexible workplace that can be reconfigured to respond to future needs.
