Commissioned to provide the mechanical and electrical design services for this new An Post Regional Delivery Service Unit located in Co. Monaghan.
Designed to provide flexibility for future changes to production layout without major building alterations. Approximately 25% of the building was allocated for office accommodation, staff catering and recreation areas, reception area and circulation spaces.
Services installed included high efficiency lighting to the sorting bays complemented with high reflectance wall finishes to maximize illuminance levels.
Ventilation was provided by means of four fresh ventilation units with high efficiency heat exchangers. A LPHW warm air heating system was installed to the sorting area with heat recovery. Also provided were local ventilation, soils & waste installation, plumbing and gas with gas detection and a Building Energy Management System to support the management and monitoring of energy consumption and efficiencies. Electrical services included the lighting and emergency lighting, security and life protection system installations, data and voice network.
