The newly constructed Dale Farm Blow moulding facility is a state of the art facility for the production and storage of blow moulded bottles prior to their supply to on site production areas.

The new facility incorporates three main areas; ground floor houses the main production areas, engineering stores, engineering workshops, wash stations, compressor rooms, changing / washing facilities and general personnel accommodation. The first and mezzanine areas are a combination of office and storage facilities.

Full M&E design and associated site supervision to enable a complete working blow moulding facility to be constructed.

The new facility had to interface directly with the existing production buildings currently on site. The current production and process areas operate 24 hours 7 days a week and any interference in these working periods or production downtime was not tolerated and had to be avoided at all costs.

The installations included a full Cat 4 high risk sprinkler system and new high voltage electrical installation as well as general mechanical and electrical services, including heating, plumbing, wastes, lighting, fire alarm, PA and communications cabling and hardware.

Whilst the blow moulding equipment was supplied by Nampak, we had to give careful consideration to health and safety factors.  Lighting levels were designed to ensure operatives could work in a safe manner without impediment to their natural sight by the artificial lighting.
