Ostick+Williams were appointed by Turkington Holdings to undertake the scheme design and architectural construction support for the fit-out of the Clare House which is located in the Belfast Harbour Estate.
The completed building provides open plan office accommodation for the Central Procurement Directorate (CPD), the Strategic Investment Board (SIB) and will be a pathfinder project for the NI Civil Service’s 2010 Estates Project.
The concept design has been prepared by DEGW, as advisors to CPD and O+W worked closely with the Client Project Team to develop the scheme which includes the construction of a new atrium and roof lantern to increase natural lighting levels and improve vertical communication within the deep plan office space. The design includes a new south facing staff restaurant and gymnasium which were carefully integrated into the existing building structure and fabric.
