M&E consultancy services provided for the provision of a new Printing Press and Reel Store at their news media printing facility at Carn Industrial Estate, Portadown. The project was carried out over two phases: Phase 1, the enabling works package; and Phase 2, the new Printing Press facility.
Phase 1 involved the relocation of power distribution cabling, upgrade of the electrical supply including new packaged sub-station and changeover to HV Metering.
Phase 2 included all the services required to facilitate the provision of a new Printing Press and to the Reel Store.
The services elements include compressed air, specialist extraction, chilled water distribution, packaged AHU for ventilation and cooling, fire alarm, provision of sprinkler tank and sprinkler installation, security systems, lighting and general electrical services. The CTP (Computer to Print) room required specialist waste management and control of hazardous discharges, compressed air, comfort cooling and particle filtration.
