RUA RED is a dynamic home for the creation and enjoyment of the arts in Tallaght, Dublin and was opened in February 2009 after an investment by South Dublin County Council.

The centre includes for two separate exhibition galleries, a performance space with separate rehearsal area, an arts workshop, meeting rooms, music rooms and a medical laboratory. Its structure comprises a four storey reinforced concrete frame with flat slab floors constructed on continuous flight augur piled foundations.

The use of long span vierendeel and lattice trusses contributed to the open aspect within the performance and gallery areas.  The scheme was designed in conjunction with South Dublin County Council’s architectural department.
